Gone are those days when you have to wait for at least a minute for the Windows to boot.Though the Sleep and Hibernation technologies have reduced the boot time, Microsoft isn’t happy with it. Microsoft is making changes to the boot process.”Windows 8 will boot in 8sec” : that’s really amazing!
Microsoft achieves this boot speed by writing the kernel session to the disk instead of closing the kernel session as in Windows7. In simple words,Windows 8 will hibernate the session. Since there is less data to be written the process is quicker and faster than the usual hibernation. As a result reading the files and re-initializing the drivers becomes much more faster .
This new startup mode will have a great advantage on any system. What if the system has got a solid state drive(ssd)? I am eager to see the launch of beta version. How many of you are waiting for Windows 8?

Is that boot time on SSD only, or is it the stated boot time for conventional hard drives? Does it include login time? I’ll have to see this in person when 8 comes out.

Only from this post i come to know about window 8 . I read about it. It’s so fine to hear about with in 8 sec the boot process will be complet. It ‘s great news . till now i am using window 7 but from now i am waiting for win 8 . that to spread such info.
