I agree with your picks. Dell is definitely on top. However I am a huge Apple fan and would love to try the macbook but it has limitations as far as software. For example, I enjoy playing with flight simulators and my favorite flight simulation software is not compatible with macs, so I wouldn't be able to use it.

I think users with budget can’t affort the Sony Viao or the Apple MacBook. It is much better to go for a Dell or a Compaq. Also I think it is much better to go in for a 14 inch laptop because the bigger the screen the faster the battery consumption. And the weight of the laptop also increases with the screen and battery. 12 to 14 inch fits the laptop slot perfectly. Not to heavy but not too small either.

I think Samsungs are great for Value and power, but I too, believe in the Dell tribe, go on their site and configure up your beast of a machine – Also the owners of the renowned gaming PC’s and laptops Alienware. Dell Rocks!
