You might be using 160by2 which helps in sending you sms for 80 characters but have you ever thought of any other service which allows you more characters than them. I tried few free sms sites and almost all of them were identical and they used to give 110 -118 characters  for sending sms. I was a big fan of  Mycantos which allowed me to send 118 characters sms from their website and you can send unlimited sms from their website thats the beauty of their service ,but yesterday I got a mail from them that they are now allowing to send 146 characters sms.
