Recharge Mobile Phones Battery from the Radio Wave
Sep 8th, 2009 | By Teguh Yulianto | Category: mobileThe presence of mobile phones today can not be separated from our activities everyday. Wherever and whenever we will go, one important thing is bring the phone. During the last 10 years, the existence of these digital devices is helpful, especially in communication. But often we experience problems, especially if at a given moment are using the phone; suddenly the phone battery is not available because of low electric power. As we know that each type of phone has a battery type and battery life different, but generally about the same battery power with one another.

Cell phone battery average can last up to 2-3 days. If you happen to your phone battery ran out and we are not near a power source, then this could cause problems for you if at that moment your phone is in use. And to overcome this, researchers have tried to find a solution. One of them is a researcher from the vendor Nokia, through the Nokia Research Center (NRC) in Cambridge, England. Nokia is currently developing technology that can recharge mobile phone battery of emissions emitted radio waves around us. Transmission of electromagnetic radiation such as WiFi, cell phone antenna, television signal transmitter, and a few waves that surround us can be used as one alternative to overcome this. According to Markku Roula, NRC researchers, the radio wave radiation may be converted into electrical current that you can use to recharge the battery of your phone. The Nokia devices are developed for the purpose of working on the same principles as radio crystals or RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) to convert electromagnetic waves into an electrical signal that can later be used for this purpose. This requires two passive circuits.
To increase the amount of energy can be collected and the range can be achieved for the purposes of this research, Siemens focuses on collecting the electromagnetic waves of different frequencies with one another. This requires broadband signal between 500 MHz and 10 GHz. When the rechargeable battery of this phone can be done using the principle of such work, perhaps you use your phone to charge the battery without having to connect a power source in which at the time you need.
And if this method works, it is not impossible that this is a breakthrough technology that can save resources and also the convenience of electricity you to communicate, thus indirectly can save your expenses, especially expenses for the electricity resources.
