Almost everybody who is reading this article can’t live without his mobile phone or cell phone as they say. Mobile phone has bridged the gap between countries and their people. If you want to send text message to your friend to just wish him on his birthday you don’t have to go the post-office. Just take out the cell phone from your pocket and within 5 minutes you’ll be done with it. This is not everything, making voice calls, GPS navigation, music (MP3) and video (MP4) playback, RDS radio receiver, alarms, memo and document recording, personal organiser and personal digital assistant functions, ringtones, games, PTT, memory card reader (SD), USB (2.0), infrared, Bluetooth (2.0) and Wi-Fi connectivity, instant messaging, Internet e-mail and browsing and various other features make mobiles a versatile electronics product.

“Do you still not have a mobile phone?” Or “Are you planning to buy one?” Or “Are you tempted to buy now after reading this article?”

The big question is how much I’ve to pay? They are not very costly compared to the features they offer you. After you buy a Mobile handset, you have to choose a cellular service provider for it. You have again two choices; prepaid mobile phone and post-paid mobile phone.

I’ve a personal bias towards prepaid service or in other words “pay-as-you-go” because of many personal reasons which usually suits to almost all readers of my blog. Lower cost for lower use, easier to control spending, no early termination fee, freedom to change providers and plans are some of the key features or rather advantages of using pay as you go mobiles.

As everything has its evils this also comes with many disadvantages mainly related to its inefficient use. The legal issues associated with it are also quite serious and of concern. Prepaid mobile services allow the user to be anonymous and therefore facilitate criminal or terrorist activities.

On the whole, I simply recommend “pay-as-you-go” to everyone.
