SkyVu Entertainment, the mobile social game studio behind the award-winning BATTLE BEARS series on iOS, Android, Mac App Store and Facebook, has surpassed 12 Million downloads (paid and free) since their first game debuted on the App Store in 2009. One of the only studios to exclusively include animated cutscenes in their mobile games, BATTLE BEARS has grown into one of the strongest character franchises in mobile gaming.

BATTLE BEARS is a series of funny adventure games featuring a stubborn janitor bear named OLIVER who has to defend himself from pink Huggable bears trying to hug him to death. Using MacGuyver-like wacky weapons like a Unicorn Crossbow and BearZooka, each unique game takes the player on a wild ride through the BATTLE BEARS universe.

Averaging over 100,000+ downloads per week across iOS and Android, SkyVu continues to grow the worldwide BATTLE BEARS community with over 22,000 Facebook Likes and over 1 Million YouTube views of their off-the-wall comedic cutscenes found in each mobile game.

Today in the StartUp Alley at DISRUPT SF, the SkyVu team will be demoing their latest multiplayer shooter game BATTLE BEARS ROYALE.  BBR is a 8 player online squad based shooter that’s a mobile cross between TEAM FORTRESS 2 and DUKE NUKEM 3D.  Featuring six character classes, 6 multi-level maps, with cutting edge 3D graphics, BBR is SkyVu’s most ambitious game to date.  Produce in partnership with W3i’s Recharge Studios and Complex Games, BATTLE BEARS ROYALE with its original characters, wacky weapons, OpenFeint integration, and cross-platform multiplayer technology (iOS and Android) is one of the most anticipated mobile games this year and scheduled for a late Fall release.
“BATTLE BEARS ROYALE is a huge step forward in SkyVu’s growth as an entertainment company.  By a creating a rich multiplayer experience based on our characters, we will be able further engage our fans while enabling us to expand our user base faster.” says Ben Vu, CEO and co-Founder.
