Idea for Bloggers Meet 2009
Well this isnt exactly an idea that pop up on my mind for WebReps ,I have been thinking on this for a while from the last few months. I have discussed about this with some of my blogger friends out here in IIT Kgp.
I don’t know whether you guys will like it or not ,but I think this is possible and maybe in year or so we will try to implement it out here.
So here’s the idea:
Its basically centered around college fests( Tech fest/Soc Cult), in which large number of students come from different colleges come to take part in various events. In some colleges like ours students come from all over India to take part in both tech fest (Kshitij) n soc cult fest( Spring Fest) . So if we organise something during that period we will have massive audience and as lot of college students are interested in Online Marketing, Blogging etc, we will find lots of participants out there in any college . We can also easily get sponsors for these kind of events ,as the companies will get opportunities to address large group of intellectauls . We can also call some renowned people from the online marketing field ,that too won’t be a big problem as they will think it as an opportunity to launch some product or something.I remember we had Jimmy Donal Wales, owner of Wikipedia speaking out here in my college during the Tech Fest 2008 .
I can assure you that there are lot of guys out here in my college itself who will attend a seminar on “Internet Marketing /How to market your product online” and if someone renowned is invited in these of seminars in any college fest it will surely be a hit (if not super hit
) . You can also choose representatives from different colleges with whom you can keep in touch with and send them updates about Webreps .
Finally basic idea is “Organising a seminar or bloggers meet during a college fest will enhance the reputation and popularity of Webreps across almost whole of India. And also it will provide a great chance to connect with lot of young enthusiatic guys who are willing to do something in the Online field .”

very interesting concept which lotsa Big offline company is doing … webreps can also try.
If I had a web company (which will be there in the coming years
), i would have certainly did something on this line.
Nice and practical idea. I would like this idea to become reality. I will surely be one of the person to attend it.
Indian youngsters would surely love this idea!
