If you have installed MYSQL on windows or installed Wampserver on your computer and started using it then you might have noticed that it asks for password at the starting. If you have read the documentation then you must be knowing that the default password is blank and you just have to press enter and don’t write any password on it.

If you want to change the password then run the following command:

UPDATE mysql.user SET Password=PASSWORD('MyNewPass') WHERE User='root';
FLUSH PRIVILEGES;
