Facebook is a great tool for social networking and has achieved more than 500 million users, but not all users are saint. Sometimes, when you are bit celebrity or you look good then people try to impersonate your profile. They will copy your profile picture and have same profile name as your and sometimes there are guys who copy the whole profile information and then send friend request to your friend list saying that the previous account was hacked so you can use this new profile. In this new age of information you can not let anyone do this to tarnish your reputation among your friends colleagues, or sometimes your seniors in your company.
For solving this problem,Facebook has launched a feature called Imposter Profile in which you can report the profile which you think is copying your details and trying to impersonate you.

To report a profile you need to fill the details shown in the above screenshot. They will also require the full profile name of the guy who was impersonated . Also, you will have to add a screenshot of the fake profile . Then, submit your complaint to Facebook.

My daughter’s X has a retraining order to keep him from contacting her. To help stop his unwanted contacts, she deleted her FB profile. He has now apparently created one using her name. Reports to FB about the impostor profile have NOT gotten the profile removed. Do you have any other suggestions?
