Despite several warnings by Facebook, Orkut, Twitter, and other social networking sites to not click on any url that is suspicious netigens are still clicking on random links and getting affected by phishing websites and they end up loosing their online identity to some hacker.

Even I’m included in such netigens who was once pranked by such url sent as a Direct Message on twitter. I clicked thinking it is real as it was sent by a respected netigen but what happened was this

Twitter DM

Twitter DM

Everybody in my timeline was sent Direct messages like, test your IQ…, test your funny video…, is this you…LOL, and what not.

1. After clicking you would land in a login page very similar to twitter, orkut, facebook, etc…

2. You would gleefully type your username and password

This is it

Your online identity is stolen.

The first thing you should do after this phishing attack is change your password and yes do inform your friends about it.

Just today one of my facebook pals did really horrible thing, I don’t know its due to his super-ignorance
or just hackers’ intelligence.

Not once but twice he wrote on my wall.

Facebook blunder

Facebook blunder

This was not new for me as I’d already seen this on twitter, so I just ignored this.

Learn from other’s mistakes and don’t click on suspicious links!
