After Logging to your Orkut account you find Main# in the Url of Orkut like “http://www.orkut.co.in/Main#Home.aspx” which makes browsing in Orkut quite slow.Even opening scrapbooks and communities take hell lot of time.
Problems faced due to Main# in Orkut:
- Heavy pages: To start Orkut each of the iframe executes some routines to boot, this process occurs every time you open a page, so that there are bottlenecks and even crashes (of course, only for those with more modest computers).
- Many Greasemonkey scripts simply stopped working after this update and many authors had to upgrade to new code, but there are scripts that are no longer maintained by their owners and their are superb for enriching your Orkut Experience.
To remove the Main# from Orkut url you need to download a Firefox Addon named Main# killer.
