Samsung launched its premier mobile Samsung Galaxy S II (Model no : GT-I9100 ) in India at a launch event organized by them in Delhi . Priced at hefty Rs. 32,890 , the 16 GB  Android 2.3 mobile comes with 1.2 GHz Dual core processor  and is very lightweight(116 gm) and thin(8.49 mm ).

Hardware Talks :

With  1.2 GHz dual-core application processor and advanced 4G (HSPA+ 21 MBPs) connectivity Samsung Galaxy S II is best in terms of power and performance .Dual core processor will make multitasking easier on the phone. But in places like like India , there is always an issue with the connectivity ,even 3G is not working in most parts of the country . In places where its working,speed is not that awesome , in that case you will regret that you cannot use the full power of this awesome phone . It also have features like Bluetooth 3.0 +HS and Wi Fi direct which will help you reduce your data transfer timing . The battery is of 1650mAh,but until and unless we test it we can’t say how much it will last in Indian conditions . It also allows NFC technology to support lots of new features .

Camera :

The Galaxy S II has an 8 MP back camera and a camcorder with 1080p full HD recording and playback . It also possesses a 2 MP front facing camera for video calling/chatting .

Kies Air :

Samsung has introduced Kies Air, through which  users can manage their smartphone content from their PC,download photos,listen to music,check missed calls and send messages in the web browser on their PC.

Wifi Direct :

Wifi Direct allows users consumers to connect to wireless enabled PCs and printers without the need of wireless access points .

Display :

The Samsung Galaxy S II is now powered with Super AMOLED plus screen and it’s looks way better than the Galaxy S screen . Most of the UI remains same as the original Galaxy S with some changes in the widget section,the TouchWiz 4.0 UI has added some more features into it .

Voice to Text :

With the new advanced Voice technology , you can give commands using your voice and you can do lots of things like opening an app,email,messaging etc . There’s also a Voice Translation application which will help in translating in other language .

Samsung Hubs :

Samsung Galaxy has Social hub Premium(for the social networking freaks ),Readers Hub(a book store with more than 2.2 million books ) ,Games Hub (which also have a 3-axis gyroscopic sensor ) to cater its users .

Samsung has tied up with Vodafone to provide free data services on Samsung Galaxy S II . The customers buying Galaxy S II will get 1GB of 3G data download for free for 6 months from Vodafone. The mobile will be available exclusively across the Vodafone stores from June 3rd and across Samsung stores from 9th June all over India .
