On 6th Jan, Magellan, GPS navigation specialists, known for its in-car navigation systems announced pair of GPS fitness watches “switch and switch up” at the CES ‘12. The Switch series watches will be Magellan’s first step into the fitness tech game that will utilize GPS technology to meet the needs of multisport athletes.
Similar to Garmin’s Forerunner watches, the dominant company in the workout space, switch and switch up can be mounted to your wrist and includes a bike mount for those competing in triathlons. Although the primary design is intended to support runners, the company is expecting an influence on all the multisport athletes.
