Google Cloud Print was announced back in April 2010. It would let printers to be shared over a cloud, and all clients to the cloud could push print jobs to the shared printer from any where they want. The service is a full fledged print manager that lets you specify all print parameters.
Yesterday, Google announced Cloud Print for mobile phones. This would mean that if you have documents to be printed urgently while on the go, you could print them on your personal printer using your Android/IOS phone. All you need to do is open the document in Google docs and click the “print” button.
Requirements
- Phones that support HTML5 ( eg Android 2.1+ and IOS 3+ )
- Printer connected to Google Cloud Print.
- Windows PC controlling the printer.
Support for Linux and Mac are expected in the future. The feature will hit English speaking users in the US today. You can learn more at the Google Cloud Print help center. As Google wishes its users,
Happy Printing !!!
