A USB or disk-based Linux distribution can be a great way to scan or disinfect a PC. It is also a good idea to use such a system to do on-line banking, as it’s nearly immune to crimeware like the Zeus banking trojan.

Very well written. I think this would be of great help while using a public computer or while travelling. But won’t it affect the pen drive life as it keeps running all the time and reading and writing data to it.

Hey thanks for the article. It’s really interesting that as the technology a bit improves spyware and viruses improves too and find sneaky ways to duplicate themselves and get big families or as we called in our company a “FARM” ‘cos almost %95 of the PCs in my place caught with hundreds of torjans, spywares via USBs. God Knows what’s the surprice for the next year?

Downloadable Key loggers are very freely available. But I would seriously warn against using most or these. Several sites that I vistited, tried to download spyware on my first visit to see what they offer. Shoul you want to use such ‘freeware’ , to spy on someone else, know that you are probably a target for someone else. Beware!
