Nero has recently has announced to launch their free version of their popular software Nero 9 which will be a stripped version of Nero 9.4 which they claim offer basic CD/DVD burning/copying capability, for FREE .
Since it’s a stripped down version, you will only get the most basic
CD and DVD burning features and for anything else you’ll have to upgrade.The installer of
nero 9 is 55mb in size and it works on Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7. It also comes with an ask toolbar so beware when you install it ,just uncheck it when is asking for installins ask.com toolbar . As it has been found that ask.com toolbar causes various problems in mozilla. I was also one of the victims.
It’s precisely only data disk burning & disk copying features that you will get. It’s not a free version that you can depend on to serve all your burning needs. So if you are using some other free cd/dvd burning utility, stick with it :)
If nero has decided to release a stripped version of their burning software for free, i can say that this is really good news.
