As for me, then I prefer using FreeOCR.net 3.0, I have never had any problems with it and I’m quite satisfied with its quality and speed

I had mixed results from Tesseract when I used it on a couple of documents. It doesn’t always work well, if at all. OCR, or at least open source OCR software, still has a ways to go.
