So, you ever wanted a clean theme like that of Techcrunch, which is a ultimate theme which everyone want in their blog. We thought of designing a theme inspired by Techcrunch for all those lovers of clean theme . It doesn’t have all the functions of the great wordpress theme ,but still I hope you guys will love the theme due to its clean design. To add thumbnail image to a post assign featured image for each and every post you are using .
And for adding category go to the menu and assign category to the primary menu . See the screenshot I have attached .
From where I can assign featured image ?? Is there any option of featured image in this theme ?
Its there in the wordpress itself, when you edit a post just see below the categories or when you upload a picture in a post there’s an option to make it featured image .

I’ve been looking for a techcrunch style theme for ages. I made do with some other awesome themes but I still think this one is brilliant.
Any chance of getting a 300×250 square option above the ‘popular posts’?
Or can I add a div class in the sidebar to bring one to the top?

Also if you are using any custom field then don’t use those.
The Comppress theme looks pretty sleek and nice. Will keep this, might use it in one of my later projects.

This doesn’t violate any copyright issue, this theme is built from scratch and if you see there are lots of features which differ from Techcrunch .
Really like this theme. Thanks so much. How do I move the subscribe area widget? Wanted it to be last on right hand side. Featured image does not link to post when clicked and needs to for each article. The articles the function does not work so no spaces between paragraphs wgich is automatic in the latest wordpress version. Would like to see a cool categories dropdown menu function. Would also be cool if there was a simple way to change the color scheme. Would be willing to pay $5 for a theme with all the bell’s and whistles.

If anyone is wondering why some images in the posts are shrunk, and would like to allow them to be larger look in styles.css file. Search for the following:

max-height: 640px !important;

Originally, mine was set at 175, and changed it to 640. Everyone of them looks perfect now.
To find styles.css, click on Appearance in the Dashboard, and click on editor. Then look for it on the right side. Select it. I hope that helps.

I have a question about comppress theme in the posts in frontpage how can i change the thumbnail becouse the image i add to the post doesnt appear like thumbnal but only the image that is in folder image of the theme dfeafultthumb something like that help please
Awsome theme but there is some thing wrong at my end with this theme.
Two problems:
1. It doesn’t show the post contents in paragraphs. tag doesn’t work in this theme.
2. When I open site in IE9 or Firefox then whole content goes to right side of the screen and all left area is blanked.
