Its the first of April again, and as usual, there were a lot of pranks. We assure you this article is NOT an April Fool’s Joke, so read on.
Google went on fire this first day of April. We have the Motion, with Gmail Motion and Docs Motion, which make e mail supposedly easier to write. “To send an email, just make the action of licking a stamp, and putting it down”. However, if you don’t like moving around too much, but are the type who gets drunk and calls your ex, the Voice-alyzer would probably be of some use to you. If none of these work ,and you are super fast typist, the Auto-completer job would probably interest you. Do you remember how Google auto completes your search entries? Well apparently its done manually and they have job openings for the same. Typing speeds required are 32,000WPM, as well as a “Certificate in psychic reading strongly preferred: palm, tarot, hypnosis, astrology, numerology, runes and/or auras.”. It has also added a cow to its body browser. As if all this wasn’t enough, Google search on desktop certainly gave interesting results for “Helvetica” and “Comic Sans”. You could have tried looking up “kittens” on your android browser as well. And finally [though we are not sure whether this is an exhaustive list], youtube added a button which could convert any video of yours to a grainy 1911 video, complete with a Piano Soundtrack, available in select countries only. The rest of the world can see how youtube used it themselves here.
Other than Google, Razer also showcased their brand new gaming bio exo-skeleton, which is probably the best gaming accessory, EVER. We highly recommend that you read about this piece of hardware in their own words yourself, even if you don’t yell 1337 all day [or night] long. xkcd is now xc3d, which as the name suggests has transformed your favorite web comic to 3D.
Toshiba launched the World’s first 3D monocle, in case you are not the specs type, or you just prefer to look like a pirate.
Nvidia has revived 3dfx with the Voodoo 590, promising the equivalent of 233 Chips on just one chip!
Kodak launched the Relationshifft APP- Automatic Person Purge. If you want your ex out of the picture which u took at your sister’s wedding, its possible, thanks to highly sophisticated Facial Recognition Software, dodecahedron shaped pixels and nano-pigmented ink.

RITCOI ( Relax: I’ve taken care of it apps)
An autonomous background app. that monitors a user’s Smartphone interactions and other electronic devices choices to determine a personality profile for the individual and uses this information to manage and improve the users life, happiness and wellbeing.
The app. monitors voice, texts, pupil size , eye fixation and skin pheromones (via touch screens) to determine the likes and interests of a subject and then manages the users life style to maximise happiness.
The autonomous nature of the RITOCI app. means that the app. acts as the users agent or daemon in transactions with other RITCOI apps that are charged with maximising the happiness of their owners.
Perhaps by way of example it would be best if I outlined the early results from my prototype RITCOI application:
1. First I was woken an hour later this morning waking to beautiful music and sunshine with no appointments, nothing in my to-do list and no missed phone calls. This was because my RITCOI app had:
a. Organised a surprise days holiday, because it thought I needed one
i. The RITCOI day was chosen after consulting the long range weather forecast.
b. Negotiated with other RITCOI apps during the last months to make savings and had placed these savings in my RITCOI account
c. Rescheduled my diary to free up this day
d. Divvied up my to-do list via negotiation with colleagues RITCOI agents.
e. Held all my calls apart from calls that will engender happiness
f. Arranged with friend’s RITCOI agents a spot of fishing at the local lake.
g. Booked a restaurant for this evening with pals to talk over the days fishing and reminisce about the ones that got away
Anyway before I head off for the lake, I should perhaps speculate on where all this will lead to for humanity:
RITCOI Outcomes
No more cold sweats when you realise that you are at work on your wedding anniversary which you have completely forgot!
The RITCOI agent will have reminded you, but since you ignored it, it had arranged flowers and a card and a restaurant booking for you and your wife for this evening.
No more embarrassing or unwanted Christmas presents as the negotiating skills of RITCOI agents will have determined what suits everyone. whether wished for consciously or sub-consciously.
No more embarrassment on who to invite ( for this, that or the other) as the RITCOI agents will have determined who really wants to come
World Peace and Harmony. RITCOI agents will negotiate in the background to thrash out the best deal for all parties.
A Small Problem
In developing the prototype RITCOI agents I have come up against a small problem with Qt in that instead of RITCOI days falling at random across the year based on the perceived workload, social interactions and stress of the subject I am finding a propensity for RITCOI days to fall on the 1st of April…Perhaps Nokia could help me with this problem?
I liked all the jokes but the Kodak’s prank was the best! Ha-ha! I guess the demand for such cameras will be high!

Its not bad to enjoy this day but a joke with intention not to hurt any one is a good idea, rather after observing this day, if some one is still hard feeling go and say sorry to them.
